DAYTONA BEACH — It's never a bad time for some Chinese takeout.

Chase Briscoe, driver of the Stewart-Haas No. 14, made the quick trip across the street during the Daytona 500 delay to get some Panda Express.

His wife, Marissa, tweeted a picture of him going through the drive-through, in his firesuit, ordering lunch.

Briscoe is currently running 14th in the Daytona 500, which has been in a weather delay since about 3:45 p.m.

This is his first Daytona 500, and first full-time Cup season. He's replacing Clint Bowyer in the No. 14 Ford. Bowyer is now in the Fox broadcast booth.

Briscoe wasn't the only driver to make a pit stop at a local fast food restaurant.

Alva native Ross Chastain rolled through McDonald's to pick up meals for his entire team.

Chastain is positioned just in front of Briscoe, in 13th place, through 15 laps.
