Let's Talk: THE END
In talking about the various opinions people have about the problems that exist today, and how some live-in denial that a problem even exists, and varying opinionated belief systems on cultural beliefs, seem to be scattered about all over the map, and yet it seems there is not a more divided organization at times than the Church even though we have churches on every corner. If you just drive through our communities one will see all black congregations, all white congregations, and there seems to be a lack of unity and alliance in the Body of Christ, and how this disunity has a potential impact on a racial divide, Apostle Woods commented that, “The root of racial divide is the conviction of the individual and the conviction of the individual is either heightened or diminished by whatever gospel they are being preached. Whatever gospel their being preached is either heightening or diminishing that conviction. Everyone is not preaching the same gospel because some are preaching hate, not directly, but when you look at men who have studied the bible just enough to be dangerous, they use scriptures to be able to justify as though they are still under the law.
For instance, their take on biracial marriage, is that you don't mingle the seed, that is how they justify that stand, you don't mingle the seed (Leviticus 19:19), because they are still under the law, but if you are still under the law, then they are still in their sin, because only through grace and truth of Jesus can you be delivered from the law. And that is why their hatred, and their anger and their frustration and the god of this world has blinded their minds that they should not obey the truth, and because it is in their hearts it is in their eyes, because it is in their heart, so when they see, they envision what is in their heart. Our heart will not lie, and when your eyes see something, your eyes are the mirror of the reality of what you really believe. And if I have been taught through scripture don't mingle the seed, then I have a problem with interracial marriage because I think it is wrong. I have heard pastors say I will not marry a white man that wants to marry a black woman, or a black woman who wants to marry a white man. That was part of his message, preaching that, to his congregation, that you will not be married here, because he took one scripture that satisfies his norm, his conviction.
That is why it was so important that Jesus win the Samaritans, because they were considered the non- Jews, the non-something else, they were considered the half breeds, but when he spoke to that woman at the well (John Chapter 4) that broke that, and when He died and rose from the dead it is by faith, and it has absolutely nothing to do with the color of your skin or your origin. As many as received Him, to them, gave Him power to become sons and daughters of God (John 1:12-13); but they preach another gospel, they do not preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Does this impact racial divide, it drives it. Everybody, KKK, Black Panthers, they all have their religious indignation, because at the heart of it, God is God in some form, even the atheist has a God in some form, they just don't believe in the true and living God, but they still say, oh my Lord. This is where evangelism would play a crucial part, if the evangelist would evangelize.
The flame of evangelism must never go out. One of the places where the enemy uses denominations is to stop evangelism, because they turn evangelism into a group of people, when evangelism is the whole church. You got twenty people sitting around waiting for two people to go win the city. The whole kingdom of God by its nature is evangelism. Every believer saved has been given the ministry of reconciliation. We do it all differently, but the work of evangelism is not the same. Because I don't hold the title denomination-ally, I have no guilt by not going out, by not being a witness, because that is not my call, and the devil corrupted that ministry in the church to where the whole body is waiting around. But when I explain it like that the evangelist become mad, and people in the pew become mad, because it shines a light on their inadequacies, because no one is doing anything. You have no souls to your charge. No one is going to walk up to you in Heaven and say, I am hear because you preached the gospel. Most people are just trying to get to heaven. What will help is evangelism. One thing I love about this pandemic is that we are now able preach on platforms we were not able to preach before”.
