Precautionary Boil Water Notice
Attention Customers: On Hoyt St. from Hwy. 90 south to South Blvd.
CHIPLEY - Due to a water main break within your area City of Chipley is issuing a precautionary boil water notice.
"This is only a precautionary measure being done until we can positively assure our customers that the water is safe," The city said in a statement. "The City of Chipley apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and will be making every effort to return your water service to normal operation as soon as possible."
AS A PRECAUTION, IT IS ADVISE THAT ALL WATER USED FOR DRINKING, COOKING, MAKING ICE, BRUSHING TEETH OR WASHING DISHES BE BOILED. A ROLLING BOIL OF ONE MINUTE IS SUFFICENT. AS AN ALTERNATIVE BOTTLED WATER MAY BE USED.
Officials will be taking water samples immediately after repairs to ensure water safety. You will be notified by an orange doorknocker when the boil water notice has been lifted. The boil water notice will remain in effect until officials are sure no bacterial threat is found in the water.
