United Way Announces Workplace Campaign Goal
PANAMA CITY– The United Way of Northwest Florida concluded its 2020 Virtual Spirit Week with its annual Campaign Kickoff on Thursday.
At the conclusion of the kickoff, 2020 Campaign Chairman Dr. Irvin Clark announced that the Workplace Campaign goal for the upcoming year will be $800,000. This is an increase from the 2019 Workplace Campaign that rebounded following Hurricane Michael.
“After Hurricane Michael in 2018, we were focused on ‘Moving Forward’ in 2019,” United Way of Northwest Florida Communications Director Ken McVay said. “Our community stepped up and returned to giving through their workplaces in 2019.
“As we begin our 2020 Workplace Campaign, we’re looking at the continued support of dozens of workplaces in our six-county area to provide funding through United Way of Northwest Florida to our agency partners,” McVay said.
The 2020 Workplace Campaign will run through the first quarter of 2021, with funds collected to be distributed throughout the 2021 calendar year.
