Union Hill Baptist Church lost in fire

BETHLEHEM - The community of Bethlehem suffered a tragic lost last week when the Union Hill Baptist Church went up in flames during the afternoon hours.

Bonifay Fire-Rescue, as well as Esto Fire, Pittman Fire, Gritney Fire, Pinelog Fire, Ponce De Leon Fire, Argyle Fire, Holmes County EMS responded to the church.

Fire departments from Geneva County, including Black, Slocomb and Hartford also responded to the fire. No injuries were reported.

The church, which is reported to be 115 years old, is a complete loss according to fire departments. The cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time.
