CHIPLEY - One woman is in custody following a traffic stop after police determine the female had multiple forms of drugs in her possession.
On the evening of November 25, 2019, Officers of the Chipley Police Department conducted a traffic stop of red 4 door sedan, for a speeding violation.
According to the police report, after speaking with the occupants of the vehicle, the passenger whom was the owner of the vehicle granted a consent to search the vehicle stating that there may Marijuana in the vehicle.
“A consensual search of the vehicle revealed the presence of drug paraphernalia which tested positive methamphetamine.” the report said.
Further investigation conducted by Officers on scene found that the female passenger Megan Key, 29 of Panama City, Florida, had concealed on her person three baggies of a white crystal like substance of which she indicated was methamphetamine.
Key was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail where she booked on possession of a controlled substance (Methamphetamine) and possession of narcotics equipment
