CHIPLEY - Chipley City Council is set to apply for $100,000 in grant funding to update Pals Park.
At the upcoming regular city council meeting to be held Tuesday, Oct. 8, City Administrator Dan Miner will recommend the council approve the submittal of two grant applications for $50,000 each.
The Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program grants will provide opportunity for updates to the park.
The council will also appoint a new mayor, mayor pro-tem, and appoint members as liaisons to city boards.
Also at the meeting, a public hearing will be held regarding natural gas rate changes.
The regular council meeting will be held Tuesday at City Hall, 1442 Jackson Ave.
