The log cabin, which is said to be the largest in the Southeast United States, is on the market in Northwest Florida for $9.5 million.
CRESTVIEW — Timber Creek Lodge, located on more than 1,000 acres just minutes from downtown Crestview, is nearly 25,000 square feet including its porches, according to Jon Kohler, president of real estate company Jon Kohler & Associates.
When they walk into the lodge through the foyer, guests enter a 2,000-square-foot living room with 40-foot ceilings. Above hangs a massive, custom-built elk antler chandelier. There's also a two-sided fireplace, wet bar and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the white sand beach on Juniper Creek, according to the property's listing. The gourmet kitchen has granite countertops, a large island, a six-burner stove and double ovens.
There is a breakfast area off the kitchen and a formal dining room that both lead to the balcony, the listing said. Also, there is a billiard/game room with pool table and gun display cabinets. A media/movie room is also inside the home, which goes out to a screened cooking porch with sink, built-in stainless grill and commercial exhaust hood.
On the second floor, is a laundry room and three large guest bedrooms all with private bathrooms and a back balcony with an outdoor fireplace and a covered pavilion.
Built in 2007, the lodge has eight bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. The home is in the center of the property, and the front yard has great views of one of three stocked ponds, while the backyard overlooks the creek.
