A report of suspicious activity led to the arrest of two men in Holmes County on drug charges, officials say.

A Holmes County sheriff’s deputy was approached on Friday, Aug. 16, 2019 by a man who said two other men were prowling in the area of Highway 179 and Sowell Loop Circle.

The deputy was able to find the two, identified as Quincy Z. Stewart, 42, and Charles D. Mixon, 58, both of Bonifay.

When asked to empty his pockets, Stewart produced a glass pipe and a ball of aluminum foil. A cigarette pack from Mixon contained two small bags of meth.

Stewart was charged with possession of paraphernalia, while Mixon was charged with meth possession. At the jail, lawmen found a pipe for smoking meth on Mixon.

He was also charged with possession of paraphernalia and introducing contraband to a detention facility.
