Floridians are big spenders and spend a lot of money while buzzed. On what exactly? Lots of clothes, shoes and vision goggles?

How many people shop drunk? A lot. And apparently, many of them are in Florida.

The Hustle ran a survey in an attempt to crack down on how much money people spend when they’re virtually shopping under the influence and what they actually purchase.

The tech and business brand surveyed more than 2,000 adults. According to them, “drunk shopping” is real and can even be considered a $45 billion per year industry.

According to the findings, Floridians are some of the biggest spenders while intoxicated, spending between $500 and $599 on items while they’re tipsy on wine or beer. Who spends the most? Kentuckians at an average $742 per person, per year.

Other key findings reveal that fashion is the most popular category for drunk shopping. People are putting clothes and shoes in their cart while buzzed. And to no surprise, Amazon is the most popular retail platform of choice.

What else have people purchased and not remembered? International flights. Night vision goggles that cost more than $2,000. And a splinter that was removed from the foot of Olden Polynice, a former NBA player.

The Hustle expresses that this study is not definitive or conclusive therefore is not representative of all Americans.

Are you guilty of drunk shopping? Or what’s the craziest thing you bought while SUI -- shopping under the influence?
