CHIPLEY - The 10th Annual Bridal Expo will usher in something for everyone this weekend.
The Chipley Woman's Club will host the expo 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Washington County Ag Center on Highway 90. The admission is free. The vendor fee is $100; few spots are remaining.
"It's just a fun day, lots of music, good food," said organizer and former club president Trish Duce. "We will have all of the vendors for special events of any kind. We also have people who do hair and makeup and jewelry."
"Really, it's not just for the brides," she added.
The event will feature event planners, photographers, caterers, florists, linens and other decorating accents, hair stylists, makeup artists, nail technicians, jewelers, videographers, DJ’s, musicians, along with wedding gown apparel and accessories on display and modeled.
The annual event is one of the clubs largest fundraisers. The proceeds will contribute to scholarships, regular donations to local civic clubs, and help pave the club's parking lot.
Due to a draining issue next to the property, the parking lot has been washed out. The project will cost about $4,000. They are currently accepting donations, as well.
"We're completely a service organization, tax-free nonprofit," Duce said. "We don't have as many members as we used to, but ... we're interested in hearing from people concerning different topics."
Chipley Woman's Club is the oldest civic club in Chipley. It holds its monthly meetings on the second Wednesday of the month from 12-1 p.m. at the club, 607 Fifth Street.
