CHIPLEY – A convicted felon is back behind bars after deputies discovered methamphetamine in his car during stop.

At about 8 a.m. Monday, Benjamin Davis, 35, of Chipley, was stopped for speeding on Clayton Road. During a vehicle search, deputies found a plastic bag of methamphetamine and two glass pipes in the center console.  A rifle and ammunition was also located in the vehicle, a Washington County Sheriff's Office news release stated. 

Davis was arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail on the charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of firearm/ammunition by a convicted felon, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
