English, mathematics and science are courses typically seen on every high school student’s schedule but Bible courses may be added to the list.

Jacksonville Democratic Representative Kimberly Daniels is sponsoring the HB195 bill which will require state high schools to teach courses on religion and the Bible, WWSB reports.

The bill submission comes months after Governor Rick Scott passed a state law requiring schools to display “In God We Trust” in classrooms shortly after the deadly Parkland shooting.

The law wasn’t exactly met with cheers. Just weeks after the law passed, several complaints in Palm Beach County public schools resulted in the phrase being replaced with the state seal.
