CARYVILLE - The town of Caryville approved the hiring of Kerry Adkison, P.A. when they met in special session December 4.
Adkison will fill the position left vacant when Attorney J. Jerome (Jerry) Miller resigned in November. Miller left after his contract was not renewed by the council.
Adkison is a former legal counsel for the town of Vernon and has been in practice for 29 years and says he is looking forward to representing the town.
“I’ve been in law for many years,” said Adkison. “I am looking forward to representing Caryville in this new venture.”
Miller was set to leave December 31 but advised the council should they find representation before then, he would depart before that date.
