BONIFAY – A case of road rage led to the arrest of a Panama City Beach man on May 6.

Around 2 p.m., Bonifay Police Department responded to a call concerning a man brandishing a handgun in a road rage incident while traveling south on Waukesha Street.

The complainant was able to relay to dispatch the description of the suspects car and landmarks along the route they were traveling.

BPD and the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office were able to conduct a felony traffic stop at a local gas station.

The suspect, identified as Philip Patrick Dean, 27, of Panama City Beach was taken into custody with minor resistance.

According to reports, two large, aggressive canines emerged from Dean’s car causing concern to officers and store patrons.

Bonifay Public Works Department were able to secure the canines with no injuries and transport them to the city pound.

Dean was charged with improper exhibition of a firearm and using a firearm while under the influence of alcoholic beverages.
