VERNON — Results for the City of Vernon's municipal election are in as the polls closed at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

VERNON — Results for the City of Vernon’s municipal election are in as the polls closed at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

A total of 98 votes were cast.

One seat on the council will change. Council member Joey Brock was unseated by newcomer Kalan Miller. Brock pulled in 41 votes, and Miller took the seat with 50 votes.

Gwen March and Gary Owens received 63 and 62 votes, respectively, and will remain on the council.

Mayor Victor Starling, who ran unopposed, will serve another term.
