CHIPLEY — A Chipley man was arrested on drug charge during a search warrant being executed by the Washington County Drug Task Force, according to a Chipley Police Department news release.
Howard Lamar Smith, 48, of Chipley was arrested in connection with charges of possession of controlled substances (methamphetamine and marijuana) and drug paraphernalia on the evening of Saturday, Feb. 16.
According to the release, members of the Washington County Drug Task Force, which consist of the Chipley Police Department and Washington County Sheriff's Office carrying out a narcotics search warrant at the residence at the Circle J Trailer Park in Chipley after several months of investigation.
Officers found that Smith was in possession of a significant amount of crystal methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia, according to the police department release.
Smith was transported to the Washington County Jail where he was booked on charges resulting from the search warrant.
