Cheer camp



BONIFAY The Bonifay Recreational Center will host a cheer camp Monday, July 13 through Friday, July 17. The camp is for students in the first grade through the sixth grade. Professional instructors will be on site for fun, safe skill-based lessons. Camp fee is $100 per student. A morning snack and lunch will be provided. 4-H Tech Wizards summer program



BONIFAY The Holmes County 4-H Tech Wizards Program is offering a free summer mentoring program to Holmes County youth ages 9-13 who are interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). The final day of the program will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, July 29, at the Holmes County Ag Center located at 1169 East Highway 90. HCHS alumni luncheon



CHIPLEY - Past graduates of Holmes County High School will meet for a quarterly luncheon Tuesday, July 14 at 11 a.m. at Bailey's Surf & Turf in Chipley to catch up on old times.



 



WFEC to host blood drive



GRACEVILLE West Florida Electric Cooperative (WFEC) will host a blood drive in partnership with One Blood from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, at the cooperatives Graceville district office, located at 5282 Peanut Road in Graceville. Members of the community are invited to join our employees in donating blood to those in need during these drives. Another blood drive will be held at the Sneads district office at a later date. Holmes Valley Quilters to meet



BONIFAY - Holmes Valley Quilters Guild will meet Thursday, July 16, at the Fellowship Hall in First Baptist Church in Bonifay. The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. with a welcome from President Sue Cullifer, followed by refreshments. Orders for new tee shirts need to be turned and paid for at this meeting.



 



Miss Holmes County fundraiser



BONIFAY The Miss Holmes County Queens are holding a rib slab fundraiser. Slabs are $20. Ribs will be available for pick up or can be delivered on Friday, July 17. The money will be needed before noon Monday, July 12. To purchase, or for pick up details, contact Miss Holmes County, Melea Kirk at 850-849-1880.



 



Pee-wee Tailgate Party



ESTO The Esto Spartans pee wee football team will host a tailgate party Friday, July 17 and Saturday, July 18 at John Clark Park. The event will kick off Friday with a Spartan Tailgate King and Queen pageant to register for the pageant call 850-768-3222. Saturday the event will start with a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Plates are $5 per person ages 6 and up. Plates are free for ages 5 and under. Tickets are available at Esto Town Hall. A horseshoe and cornhole tournament will start at 10 a.m. There is a $20 per team entry fee and the winning team will take 40% of the entry fee. To register for the tournament call 850-326-7672. A pep rally and other festivities will begin at 2 p.m. The truck show will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. with a $10 entry fee. Trophies will be awarded. To register for the truck show call 850-768-3222. There will be a Karaoke contest a 5:30 p.m. with a $10 entry fee. The grand prize winner will take 40% of the entry fees . Free movie and popcorn will be held at 7 p.m. There will be no alcoholic beverages permitted at this event.



 



Braves Vs Cubs



CHIPLEY The Krafty Katz Relay for life team is getting a bus together to see the Atlanta Braves vs the Chicago Cubs at 5 p.m., Sunday, July 19. Tickets are $75 and include the bus ride to and from Atlanta, ticket to the game and there is an autograph session available before the game. MARIANNA - Panhandle Public Library Cooperative System will have its monthly Board meeting 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, at the PPLCS Office: 2862 Madison Street, Marianna.



 



'Just Loafin Around' bread making class



BONIFAY - The "Just Loafin Around" bread making class will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, at the Holmes County Ag Center, located at 1173 E. Hwy. 90 in Bonifay. Come learn the basics of bread making, including using different types of grains. Registration fee is $5 and includes class materials. Space is limited. Great CEU round up

Cobb reunion



BONIFAY The descendents of Andrew and Rebecca Cobb Worley will hold their 25th annual family reunion at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 25, at the Holmes County Ag Center. Bring a well filled food basket and family pictures for a time of reminiscing and fellowship. Lots of entertainment is lined up. Explorers summer day camp



CHIPLEY - The Washington County Sheriff's Office host their annual Explorer Summer Day Camp from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, July 27 through Friday, July 31. The camp is for ages 13 to 18. The camp will cover topics ranging from; first aid, CPR, law and ethics, defensive tactics, firearm safety, introduction to driving operations and more. School of Hoopz



VERNON Bay Area Basketball will host School of Hoopz from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, July 27 through Friday, July 31 at Vernon High School. Bethlehem alumni reunion

CHS Class of 1985



CHIPLEY The Chipley High Class of 1985 will be having its 30-yearclass reunion at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at the Boars Head Restaurant in Panama City Beach. All eats and drinks are on your own. The Sandpiper Resort hotel is across the street. All other plans will be spontaneous. Share this information with any other classmates. 2015 Rodeo Pageant



BONIFAY The 2015 Northwest Florida Championship Rodeo Pageant will be held at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, in the Holmes County High School Auditorium. This is an open pageant for girls ages 4 to 20 and boys ages 4 to 8. The pageant entry fee is $50. Registration dates will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept 12. Late Registration will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m Tuesday Sept 15, with a $10 late fee added. Rehearsals will take place during registration times.
