CHIPLEY - The Spanish Trail Playhouse will host "An Evening of Southern Gospel" at 7 p.m., Saturday, August 8. Now in its fifth year, the event is expected to open to a packed house.

While this year's line-up has not yet been finalized, performances have been confirmed for Linda and Sonny Morris, Washington County Sheriff Bobby Haddock, and Leah Page.

Past performances have include local favorites such Four Calvary, Trish Brannon, and Crossroads.

"This has turned into an annual favorite with the playhouse," said Spanish Trail Playhouse President Kevin Russell. "It was so popular that first time, we were encouraged to do it every year. Each time, it's been a sell-out crowd, and we are expecting that again this year."

Tickets are general seating and are on sale now for $10 at the playhouse office, located in the Historic Chipley High School at 680 2nd Street in Chipley. There are no reserved seats for this presentation.
