What 2 Look 4 Week 11 of the season (See Schedule, Photos)
The final week of the regular season is all about pride for most area teams, as only a maximum of three will advance to the playoffs.
This week sees several area teams trying to finish at .500. The list includes Wewahitchka, Marianna, Franklin County, Vernon, Chipley and Arnold, all of which are 4-5. The Marlins’ have the most intriguing matchup against Mosley (3-5) at Tommy Oliver Stadium.
Much was made over the transfer of Eddie Williams from Mosley to Arnold. So much so in fact that the Florida High School Athletic Association looked into charges of illegal recruiting. The FHSAA found no wrongdoing in the transfer of Williams, who was bothered by a leg injury in last week’s game.
Elsewhere, Liberty County (8-1) and Blountstown (7-2) have final tuneups for the postseason against Cottondale (1-7) and Baker (0-9), respectively.
Chipley and Marianna also could be tuning up for the postseason should one get past Wednesday’s three-way tiebreaker for the District 1-2B runner-up spot.
