Week 5, 6 Football Heroes (See Photos, Standings)

Here’s a look at some of the top area performers from Week 5 and 6 of the season:

Week 5

Jacky Miles, Holmes County: The Graceville transfer has provided a change of pace in a backfield dominated primarily by Kodi Russ. Miles scored two touchdowns in Holmes County’s 41-0 rout of Port St. Joe.

Zach Rhodes, Mosley: The Dolphins’ quarterback threw for 131 yards and three TDs and added a rushing score in a 35-0 win over Bay.

Theryl Brown, Wewahitchka: The Gators’ running back had 255 yards and four TDs on only 12 carries in a 57-48 win over Franklin County.

Week 6

Kobe McCrary, Chipley: The Tigers’ running back rushed for a game-high 194 yards and three TDs to lead his team to a 41-10 rout of South Walton.

Natrone Lee, Port St. Joe: The Tiger Sharks had their way on the ground against Franklin County and he led the way with 133 yards in the 38-6 victory.

Hunter Dobbs, Vernon: He had 187 rushing yards, but 24 were most important on the winning score to help the Yellow Jackets escape Cottondale 24-22.
