Here’s a look at some of the top area performers from Weeks 7 and 8 of the season:
Week 7
J.T. Mackall, Bay: The Tornadoes’ running back was thrust into first-team duty due to an injury and recorded 214 yards rushing and four touchdowns in a 31-22 rally past Suwannee.
Terryal Jenkins, Liberty County: He only scored one TD, but it was the game-winner for the Bulldogs in a 13-10 victory over Bozeman.
Allante Oliver-Barnes, Graceville: The Tigers’ physical running back scored twice to help Graceville to its first win of the season 20-14 over South Walton.
Week 8
Kobe McCrary, Chipley: The Tigers’ sophomore rushed for a game-high 310 yards, most coming in the first half, and five TDs to stoke a 62-25 rout of visiting Bozeman.
Stedman Dawson and Javakiel Brigham, Blountstown: The duo returned a fumble recovery for a TD apiece to help achieve the final bulge in a 20-7 victory over District 4-1A rival Liberty County.
Hunter Dobbs, Vernon: He helped Vernon clinch no worse than a tie for first place in District 2-1A with 255 yards rushing and three TDs in a 34-18 win over Graceville.
