One killed in Holmes County wreck

Florida Highway Patrol reports that on Saturday at about 3 a.m. Dommick Reyes D'Arpa, 49, of Bonifay was traveling northbound on Short Drive. The vehicle drifted towards the west roadway edge. The vehicle subsequently left the roadway traveling into a shallow ditch and then a tree line. The vehicle then struck the trees with the left front corner causing the vehicle to rotate 180 degrees allowing the vehicle to strike additional trees with the right rear corner of the truck.

The driver was ejected through the passenger door window and caused the glass to shatter. The vehilcle then rolled onto it's right side and then fell back onto it's tires and came to final rest facing northeast. The driver was found on the ground and in the shallow ditch located on the east side of the roadway. Paramedic Steve Connell pronounced the driver dead at the scene at approximately 3:30 am. The victim was taken to the Medical Examiners Office in Panama City by Peel's Funeral Home of Bonifay, Florida
