Former Seahawk coach Drake hired at Alabama school

TALLASSEE, Ala. - Former Franklin County High School boys basketball coach Fred Drake has been hired in a similar position at Tallassee (Ala.) High School.

The 33-year-old spent three seasons at the Eastpoint school, leading the Seahawks to a 61-25 record and the Class 2A Final Four in 2009.

He also led Carver of Columbus, Ga., to a Final Four berth in 2006. Tallassee is located midway between Auburn and Montgomery.
