HC fugitives apprehended

On March 25 an investigator with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office went to 1997 N Hwy 181, a residence located in the Prosperity community of Holmes County, to investigate information received of possible illegal drug activity at the residence.

While talking with subjects outside the residence the investigator observed two males run from the residence and enter into the woods.  Immediately Holmes County deputies responded as well as, the K-9 tracking team from Holmes Correctional Institute.  The K-9 team tracked the two suspects through the woods. The two suspects were apprehended a short distance from the residence.

The two subjects were identified as Jason Freddie Lamb, 31 YOA from Westville and Jason Spencer Johnson, 30 YOA, also from Westville.  Both subjects had outstanding warrants out of Walton County and Lamb had additional warrants out of Volusia County.  A search of the residence revealed a small amount of marijuana inside the residence.

The Department of Children and Families was contacted and responded to the residence due to the fact of a small child was living in the residence and his father abandoning him when he fled.

Sheriff Tim Brown would like to thank the Department of Corrections K-9 team for their quick response and quick apprehension of the suspects.  “The K-9 team is a great asset to the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office and the people of Holmes County.”
