Girls soccer: Rutherford 3-0 in district

Also, Bay, Port St. Joe win

Rutherford 3, Godby 0: TALLAHASSEE — Jackie Kuzniar had two goals and Shannon Hyland scored once for Rutherford on Monday. Jennifer Baumgartner, Brittany Garner and Megan Fry had assists. Goalkeeper Linda Tonn had five saves to secure the shutout and Felicia Pitts also made a defender save in the second half for the Rams (9-2-1, 3-0 District 2-4A), who hosts Mosley on Wednesday.

Bay 4, Arnold 1

PANAMA CITY — Katie Carroll scored two goals to lead Bay (8-3-2, 5-1-1) past Arnold in a District 1-3A contest.

Julie Burrier and Jessica Harris each had a goal for Bay.

Assists came from Sarah Judah, Becca Rockwell, Harris and Carroll.

Bay keeper Brittany Hall had eight saves.

The Tornadoes face Chipley at 5 p.m. Thursday at Tommy Oliver Stadium.

Port St. Joe 6, Franklin County 1

APALACHICOLA — Christina Cordova and Marianna Schwadacher each scored two goals as Port St. Joe defeated Franklin County.

Kathryne Cordova and Bryanna Stuart each scored one goal for the Tiger Sharks.

Assists came from Rachel Jones and Schwadacher.

Cody Clarke had two saves and Erin Kennedy added one for PSJ.

Port St. Joe had 20 shots on goal to Franklin County’s six.
