Bethlehem, Graceville advance to finals

Bethlehem’s Tara Thompson hit a free throw with 7.1 seconds remaining to help the Wildcats turn back Malone 38-37 in the District 2-1A girls basketball semifinals Thursday.
    Bethlehem led Malone 33-21 with three minutes left before the Tigers rallied to tie the score at 35-all with 39 seconds left.
    Megan McDonald led Bethlehem with 14 points and Thompson had 10.
    Malone’s Vanessa Olds led all scorers with 17 points.

    Graceville (22-2) won its 16th straight game overall, beating Poplar Springs 65-41 in the other semifinal.
    Alyssa Hogans led the Tigers with 13 points, Ashley Hogans had 12 and Dyketa Gillette had 11.
    The Atomics’ Kelci Trim led all scorers with 15 points, Sarah Bowen had 13 and Paige Crutchfield 11.
