Boys soccer: Mosley, Rutherford fall

Lincoln 2, Mosley 1: TALLAHASSEE — Mosley’s Andrew Beasley scored on an assist by Mark Grant in the Dolphins’ loss to Lincoln on Tuesday.

The match was tied at 1-all at halftime. Lincoln scored early in the second half.

Mosley threatened at the end of the match with one shot hitting the crossbar.

The Dolphins (4-3-2) used two keepers. Blake Nobles made three saves in the first half. Josh Duncan made four saves in the second.

Lincoln won the junior varsity game 6-1. James Graydon scored Mosley’s only goal.

Mosley keeper Nathan Gutcher made two saves in the first half  and Josh Hoey made one in the second half. Mosley is 4-5-2.

Mosley plays Rutherford at Bozeman on Jan. 5.

Leon 5, Rutherford 1

TALLAHASSEE — Tallahassee Leon (9-1-1) scored four second-half goals in a win over Rutherford.

Rutherford’s Hugh Bennett scored as the teams were tied at 1-all at halftime. Michael Heimbuch had the assist for the Rams (4-6).

Rams’ freshman keeper Andrew Mask made 13 saves.

Rutherford’s junior varsity tied Leon 1-1. Jon Ross scored for the Rams.

The Rams play at Bozeman on Thursday.
