PSJ boys win tourney game in overtime

MARIANNA - Rahim Clemmons hit a 28-foot shot at the buzzer to send the game into overtime as the Port St. Joe boys basketball team held off Bainbridge 75-69 in the Panhandle Classic at Chipola College on Saturday.

Roman Quinn had 27 points to pace the Tiger Sharks.

Port St. Joe (5-2) faces Godby on Tuesday.

Malone 92, Rutherford 88, 3OT: Malone’s T.J. Smith hit a late shot to send the game into overtime and Rutherford (6-4) fell to Malone in three overtimes.

John Wade had 24 points, Deonte Williams added 16 and Stephon Barfield netted 15 points for Rutherford.

Smith had 33 points for Malone.

Franklin County 67, Jefferson County 53: Austin O’Neal had 30 points, and Carlos Morris had 28, as Franklin County rolled over Jefferson County.

Franklin County (5-3) plays Tuesday in the first round of the Bay Barnstorm Classic.
