South Walton rallies past Chipley for title

Chipley came up short in its first trip to the state semifinal since 2005, when Rickey McCullough was head coach. That was the fourth in an eight-year run of regional appearances. This season marked the first time Chipley advanced past the district stage since 2009.

“We had a good run and it wasn’t what we hoped for or expected,” Hingson said. “But I’m still very proud of them.”
