The Washington County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce they will be hosting a Clay Shooting Event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., on March 22, 2013. The event will be held at Hard Labor Creek Shooting Sports, 2131 Clayton Road in Chipley.
The Clay Shoot will consist of 10 stations scattered through the course where each shoot will attempt to break 10 targets. Each station will give a different type of target presentation. The object of the event is simple: the person or team that breaks the most targets wins. In the team event the low score on the team will be dropped. Shooters may walk or ride a golf cart or ATV through the course. Participants may bring their own cart or reserve a cart from facility for $10. Any gauge shotgun, no larger than 12, may be used. The maximum load is 1-1/8 ounce of shot and the largest shot size allowed is No. 7.5.
The deadline for registering will be March 20. You may register online at washcomall.com/home/news/story.php?sid=918.
There will be team prizes and individual prizes with two award categories, one for youth and one for adults. Registration is $40 per person and $140 for a 4 person team. Fees may be paid by cash, check or Paypal through the Chamber Store: http://www.washcomall.com/shop/index.php
