Week 2 Football Heroes (See Photos, Standings)

Here’s a look at some of the top area performers from Week 2 of the season:

Josh Williams, Rutherford: Williams came up big with a blocked extra point to seal Rutherford’s 7-6 win over Milton. He also blocked a field goal that could have swayed the outcome and partially blocked a punt.

Hunter Dobbs, Vernon: There were a lot of stars last week for the Yellow Jackets, but Dobbs led all rushers with 171 yards and two touchdowns in a 51-26 rout of Wewahitchka.

Jacob Martinez, Bozeman: The quarterback rushed for a game-high 96 yards and scored two TDs, as the Bucks shut out Port St. Joe 21-0.

Zach Armistead, Franklin County: He scored just one TD, but it was the difference in a tight 22-14 victory over Graceville.
