Players of the Week, as nominated by their schools, for the week ending Sept. 5:
Deanna Canfield, jr., Mosley volleyball: Canfield had 25 service points with 10 aces, 19 kills, 22 assists and 16 digs as the Dolphins won two matches.
Jakarri Edwards, sr., Bay football (defense): Had 1 tackle with four assists, a 60-yard interception return for a touchdown and blocked punt and 20-yard return for a touchdown.
Deric Carter, sr., Mosley football (offense): Carried 13 times for 167 yards and two touchdowns.
Mark Hicks, jr., Mosley football (defense): Had 5 solo tackles and 9 assists for 14 total.
Daniel Taylor, Bozeman football (defense): Had 9 tackles, 7 solo, caused a fumble and recovered two fumbles while averaging 30 yards on five punts.
James Jernigan, Bozeman football (offense): Rushed 6 times for 54 yards and a touchdown and returned 3 kickoffs for 65 yards.
Heather Marvin, Rutherford girls swimming: Girls team captain was praised for her leadership skills.

Audrina Jacobs, jr., Arnold girls swimming: Despite being sick earlier in the week, swam a 26.43-second anchor leg in the freestyle relay and 29.65 in the butterfly.
Zack Dietz, fr., Arnold boys swimming: Swam strong relay legs of 25.08 freestyle, 32.62 backstroke and 28.99 butterfly in a return to competitive swimming.
