PDL beats Baker for district

District 1-2A PDL 53, Baker 34
VERNON — Gypsy Griffin scored 13 and Hillary Harper 11 to lead Ponce de Leon to the district championship. Baker scoring leader Courtney Fountain was held to eight points and she didn’t record a field goal until the third quarter. The Pirates (20-6) will host a regional quarterfinal game next week, while Baker (12-13) will travel.
