HC boys edge Cottondale

BONIFAY - A late rally fell just short for Cottondale Tuesday night, as the Hornets lost 62-60 to the Holmes County Blue Devils in Bonifay.

Cottondale nearly overcame an 11-point deficit going into the fourth period. However, a late turnover cost the Hornets a chance to tie or take the lead on their last possession.

Holmes County missed a free throw with five seconds left and the Hornets rebounded. But an outlet pass was off target and the ball went back over to the Blue Devils, who ran out the clock.
