Dockery Chipola three-point winner

Brock Dockery of Holmes County High School defended his title as Champion of Chipola College’s Fifth Annual High School Three-Point Shooting Championship.
Joe Garner of Ponce De Leon High won second place and Pierre Speights of Cottondale took third.
Dockery and Garner each made 11 of 15 shots in the finals, but Dockery won the tie-breaker with 8 of 10 shots.
Other participants were: Cameron Dozier of Graceville, T.J. Smith of Malone, Alex Baxley of Sneads, Lexus Roulhac of Vernon, Clayton Ward of Bethlehem, Kevin Saldonia of Altha and Derick Addison of Poplar Springs.
Kayla Walker of Graceville High won the championship in the women’s division. Jennifer Grant of Ponce De Leon won second place. Other participants were: Tara Thompson of Bethlehem, Shay Wright of Poplar Springs, Keiysa Paul of Cottondale, Latoshia Hall of Malone, Keela McKay of Marianna, Mattie Collins of Sneads and Shanida Thomas of Chipley.
All boys and girls high school teams from the Chipola district were invited to send their best three-point shooter to the competition.
Travelling championship trophies for the men’s and women’s divisions will be housed in their respective school’s trophy cases during the coming year.
