Chipley takes two Thursday night

The Chipley Lady Tigers (18-5) spotted Holmes County two runs in the first and stormed back with four in the top of the seventh inning to take a 5-2 win and the District 1-3A title. Jessie Bush survived a first-inning collision to go the distance for Chipley with nine strikeouts and giving up only five hits. Skylar Davis had 2 RBI for Chipley.

The baseball Tigers also won, beating Arnold 8-2. The Tigers took advantage of two first-inning errors by the Marlins combined with aggressive baserunning to take a 6-0 first-inning win. Karsten Whitson took the win for Chipley.
