CHIPLEY - Ryan Brown struck out eight in a complete-game victory, and chipped in two hits in Chipley’s first District 2-3A win. Josh Roberts and Zach Schaubhut each had two hits and one RBI, and Karsten Whitson had two hits and scored two runs. Chipley is 14-7 overall, 1-3 in district.

Holmes Co. 9, Vernon 0

BONIFAY - Brad White hit a solo home run and had three RBIs as Holmes County won the first of two games on Tuesday. He was 2 for 3 on the day with a double. Aaron Mollett also was 2 for 3 with a double and three RBIs. Clayton French was 2 for 4 with an RBI. The winning pitcher was Jeremy McGowan. He allowed two hits and struck out seven in a complete game.

Wicksburg (Ala.) 7, Holmes County 6

BONIFAY - Aaron Mollett was 4 for 4 with three RBIs and Brad White was 2 for 3 with a two-run home run as Holmes County (18-6) fell in its second game of the day. Ty Short pitched a complete game but took the loss. He allowed eight hits and four earned runs.
