Battle of the Badges

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office and Walton Correctional Institute are preparing for the Battle of the Badges basketball challenge to be held March 26, 2010 at the Boys & Girls Clubs’ DeFuniak Springs Teen Center. The event will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast’s DeFuniak Springs Teen Center.

The challenge will be a tournament style basketball game between the WCSO and WCI, with the winner then playing the team from the DeFuniak Springs Teen Center.

Between the two games, there will be shooting and skill competitions open to anyone. Each competition will have a $5 entry fee.

 Tickets will be sold for $2 at the door and concessions will be available on site. The first game will begin at 5:30 PM and the second will be at 7:30 PM. All proceeds from the event will directly benefit the DeFuniak Springs Teen Center.
