Two busted for indoor growing operation

The Washington County Drug Task Force reports two arrests in the Leisure Lakes area of Washington County.  Arrested were:

Jannie “Paulette” French, 54, of Leisure Lakes

Aggravated assault

Possession of Marijuana more than 20 grams

Manufacturing marijuana

Robert “Marty” French, 53, of Leisure Lakes

Manufacturing marijuana

Possession of marijuana more than 20 grams

The arrest came after deputies and investigators responded to the French’s residence in the Leisure Lakes area in reference to a domestic violence call where Paulette French allegedly shot at Marty French during an altercation. 

Investigators asked for and received consent to search the residence and during the search growing marijuana plants, grow lights and several other items used in an indoor growth operation were located inside the residence.  Also found was a large amount of marijuana in individual bags packaged for sell.

Sheriff Bobby Haddock states, “We are noticing an increase in popularity of growing marijuana indoors.  Often, an indoor operation produces much higher quality of marijuana in a more controlled setting than the typical outdoor operation.”
