WC early voting update
Voting has continued to run smoothly in Washington County! Day one we had 293 – day two we had 234. This morning has gotten off to a slower start but has been steady!
Please remind your readers that have requested their absentee to get them in the mail. We have received over 1,300 back voted and have another 1,000 out. There is still plenty of time to make a request if anyone needs an absentee – they can call the Elections office at 638-6230.
Absentee ballots must be received in the office no later than 7 pm on November 4 (Election Day); they can be mailed in or hand delivered.
Washington County had 215 Early Voters Thursday
Washington County had a turnout of 218 for October 24, 2008.
Early Voting turnout for Saturday: 163
Voter turnout was 282 for Monday, October 27, 2008 in Washington Co., FL (this brings our total to 1,608)
Absentee return is now over 1,600
--We are now at over a 20% turnout!
We really want to remind out voters that they can still request an absentee
to vote in the comfort of their own home!
