Three face charges

Grand Theft Suspects Arrested

Bonifay Police arrested two suspects in connection with the theft of a vehicle from a local medical facility.  On Nov. 10 the Bonifay Police Department received a report concerning the theft of a 1996 Chevrolet S-10 truck from Bonifay Nursing and Rehab.  The vehicle was later found by the Florida Highway Patrol along Interstate 10 in Jefferson County.

Information was obtained by officers that led to the identification of two suspects involved in the theft.  Further investigation led to the arrest of Kevin E. Belkosky an 18-year-old white male, and Timothy R. Kinsey a 19 year-old white male, both of Bonifay.

Kinsey has been charged with grand theft and Belkosky with principle to grand theft.  According to reports, the pair stole the truck for transportation to the Gainesville area.  Both suspects have been booked into the Holmes County Jail.

Business Burglary Investigation Leads to Arrest of Employee

The Bonifay Police Department began an investigation into the burglary and theft from a local business on Nov. 11 that has led to felony charges against an employee of the business.

The initial report to law enforcement was the theft of currency from a moneybag used at a satellite store.  The business owner informed officers that he had recently experienced additional shortages from both the register and other transactions.  It was determined that an employee was likely the culprit, due to no forced entry at the business.

Justice was arrested on Nov. 13 and transported to the Holmes County Jail on charges of burglary of a structure (2 counts), petit theft (2 counts) and providing false information to a law enforcement officer.

Suspected Stolen Property Found in Wooded Area

The Bonifay Police Department has recently taken possession of approximately “three truck loads” of suspected stolen property.  This property was found in a wooded area near the southeast section of the city limits.  Surrounding law enforcement agencies have not been able to locate any reports listing this property as stolen.  It appears that this property may have been taken from some type of storage facility and consists of various types of property.

Anyone with information about this incident or if you have been a victim to a theft and failed to make a report, please contact the Bonifay Police Department at 547-3661 or Crimestoppers at 1-866-689-8477.
