Weather update from WC EMA
Approaching system is expected to deliver two potential threats of severe weather. One Sunday afternoon and the other Sunday evening and Sunday night
Much like the last system on Thursday, there is some uncertainty if we will get unstable enough
Main threat Sunday afternoon is for large hail with an increasing threat for damaging winds and tornadoes from the evening on
Rainfall amounts will be light, one inch or less, though some isolated higher totals up to 1.5 inches cannot be ruled out.
This should have little, if any, impact on area rivers.

Here's a link that shows projections for Holmes Creek at Vernon. Although the River is not rising, the recession is slow enough that creeks and rivers are continuing to rise. This pattern is expected to continue for the next 24 hours, possibly longer. It's forecast that we could see another inch of rain tomorrow. This amount won't affect the river but could pose additional problems in creeks and streams.

Creek flooding
Continued moderate flooding in the Ebro and Caryville areas are occurring and holding steady. Creeks and streams may continue rising for the next 24 – 48 hours due to slow receding of the Choctawhatchee River. Additional Rain amounts expected for our are Sunday and Monday could be around 1 inch. Although this won’t affect River waters, creeks and streams could be impacted.
