Spanish Trail Playhouse Announces Cast for All My Sons
CHIPLEY - The Spanish Trail Playhouse is currently in full rehearsals for their spring production of All My Sons.
Following two successful evenings of auditions, Director Rosalyn Scott cast the following individuals: Rob Nixon as Joe Keller, Terrie Garrett as Kate Keller, T.J. Herndon as Chris Keller, Chelsea Herndon as Ann Deever, Michael Pritchard as George Deever, Steve Mason as Dr. Jim Bayliss, Phyllis Sloan as Sue Bayliss, Hunter Harden as Frank Lubey, and Casey Strickland as Lydia Lubey. Tina Goodman will serve as Stage Manager.
During the war Joe Keller and Herbert Deever ran a machine shop, which made airplane parts. Deever was sent to prison because the firm turned out defective parts, causing the deaths of many men. Keller went free and made a lot of money.
The twin shadows of this catastrophe and the fact that the young Keller son was reported missing during the war dominate the action.
The love affair of Chris Keller and Ann Deever, the bitterness of George Deever returned from the war to find his father in prison and his father's partner free, are all set in a structure of almost unbearable power.
The climax showing the reaction of a son to his guilty father is fitting conclusion to a play electrifying in its intensity.
All My Sons will take the stage March 23 and 24 at 7 p.m. nightly and on March 25, at 2 p.m. This production is rated PG-13 for adult themes and situations. Tickets will go on sale at the Spanish Trail Playhouse Box Office to the general public on March 12. The Spanish Trail Playhouse is located at 680 Second Street in Chipley inside the Historic Chipley High School.
