'Barefoot' underway at Spanish Trail Playhouse

The Spanish Trail Playhouse production of Neil Simon’s "Barefoot In The Park" is underway at the Historic Chipley High School Auditorium at 680 Second Street in Chipley. The production will run through October 25 with the Thursday-Saturday shows starting at 7 p.m. and Sunday shows starting at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 each and can be picked up at Washington County Chamber of Commerce, 672 5th Street in Chipley. You may reach the Chamber at 638-4157. Tickets will also be available at the door. Due to the subject matter of this production, children under 12 are not encouraged to attend.

Neil Simon is at his best in this heart-warming comedy about sacrifices, new beginnings, and not letting obstacles get in the way of what truly matters. The cast includes Kara Hewitt as Corie Bratter, Arthur Obar as the Telephone Repair Man, Kevin Russell as Paul Bratter, Terrie Garrett as Corie’s Mother Mrs. Banks, Danny Page as Victor Velasco, and Garrett Brolund as the Delivery Man. The staff includes Kevin Russell as Director, Rachel Webb as Producer, Chelsea Bush as Stage Manager, Jimmy Miller as Technical Director, and Steve Yates as Set Director.
