CHIPLEY — The Washington Holmes Technical Center has expanded their part time programs to be offered in the morning or at night. Like the law enforcement and cross over to law enforcement programs, now the part time corrections classes are mirrored so students can attend in the morning or at night any day of the week and not miss coursework

Open enrollment in the Part-time Basic Recruit Corrections Academy will be April 10 and April 25.

Open enrollment for the Part-time Basic Recruit Law Enforcement Academy will be March 19 and April 18.

Students that successfully complete the training program will be eligible to become Florida certified correctional or law enforcement officers with an average starting salary of approximately $30,000 a year in this area.
In order to spread the cost of the academy out the Tech Center offers a pay-by-the-course option. The classes meet 4 days a week (Monday through Thursday) instead of the traditional 5 day academies which will allow students more flexibility to work, conduct business and spend time with their families.
There are financial aid options available to those who qualify.

For more information stop by the Technical Center or call Brandi Curry at 638-1180 ext.361.
