Michaela Weeks chosen Homecoming Queen

VERNON — Michaela Weeks was crowned 2013 Vernon High School Homecoming Queen Friday during the Vernon-Cottondale game in Vernon.

Weeks is a senior at Vernon High and she enjoys drama, working and supporting the Yellow Jackets. She is the daughter of Annette and Junior Weeks. After graduation, she plans to attend college and become a registered nurse. She was escorted by her father, Junior Weeks.

First Runner-up for Homecoming Queen was senior Jamequillan Goodman, daughter of Lora and James Goodman.  Goodman enjoys singing, dancing and playing softball, and after graduation, she plans to pursue a career in the Air Force. She was escorted by her father, James Goodman.

Second Runner-up for Vernon High School Homecoming Queen was senior Jaclyn Coatney, daughter of Tammy and Jackie Coatney.  She enjoys cheerleading, the beach, and spending time with friends. After graduation, Coatney plans to attend Gulf Coast State College to pursue an occupation in medicine. She was escorted by her father, Jackie Coatney.
