HCHS JROTC is going to State Drill Championships

BONIFAY — Holmes County High School JROTC Blue Devil Battalion competed in the Area 11 Regional Drill. Five of the six teams placed in their competition.

The female color guard won first place. Which consisted of Bree Owens, Amber Hayden, Ashley Eberhardt, and Laurel Murley. The male color guard won first place. Which consisted of DJ Rock, Mason Carnley, Ben Evers, and Christian Grimes.

The unarmed platoon won second place. Which consisted of Bree Owens, Amber Hayden, Ashley Eberhardt, Brittany Sewell, Dustin Reed, Christian Grimes, Michael Murphy, Mason Carnley, Ben Evers, Beth Jones, Mathew Grimes, Laurel Murley, and DJ Rock. The female unarmed squad won second place. The squad consisted of Amber Hayden, Bree Owens, Laurel Murley, Ashley Eberhardt, Beth Jones, Becky Padgett, and Brittany Sewell. Christian Grimes won third place in individual armed exhibition.

State Drill championships will be held in Lakeland on April 6.
