A two-month old child has been critically injured in a local accident according to Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP reports that on Nov. 30 at 11:55 am Charlotte Allen, 47 of Cottondale was driving west on Family Court Road, a dirt road west of Sapp Road between Cottondale and Chipley. The report stated that the drive became temporarily distracted and drifted into the shoulder of the roadway, where the front of the 1997 Mercury collided with a culvert and dirt embankment. Both Allen and the unidentified infant were taken to Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL for treatment. Investigation continues according to FHP.
