One killed in Washington County wreck

An Alford man was killed at about 12 p.m. Saturday.

Florida Highway Patrol reported that a 2003 Kawk KZ1000 ridden by Christopher Deuerling, 19, was traveling eastbound on Joiner Road east of State Park Road. Joiner Road turns south, then back to the east. Deuerling entered into a hard right turn as Joiner Road turns south.

Deuerling drifted off the east road edge, went through the ditch and struck a barbed wire fence. Deuerling's motorcycle flipped over the fence and came to rest just east of the fence line. Deuerling was ejected and came to rest a few feet south of the morotcylce. Deuerling was pronounced deceased at the scene.
